Never heard of the Wild Atlantic Way until I entered a church in Ireland`s South. Well, the church is now an information center. I headed there because I needed to charge my camera, but I left not only with a loaded battery. This peculiar info guy told me about this coast way and thereafter I followed it most of my time in Ireland. The roads in ireland are amazing (one lane roads mainly) guided me to popular and remote peninsulas alike. In the North I left it cross inland to Northern Ireland from where I jumped on a ferry to Scotland, but not without having visited the Giant Causeway, an outstanding rockformation that is not seen anywhere else in the world, I guess.
